Peaks of Yore - All Essentials (Itemless)

After a LONG time, I can finally release this video, this vid features an itemless climb of all 12 mountains in the first book of the Peaks of Yore DLC, The Great Alps, an incredible DLC expansion with three entire new books of mountains with new hold types and very difficult technical design, I beat this book a year ago but I could not upload it cos I had still not done itemless tempest, and I wanted to upload the vids chronologically. This book was hard!!!! Even for just the first one in the DLC theres a few climbs here that were definitely taking me some time, and felt a lot harder than the advanced book from the main game, namely Old Rekkja and Eljun's folly were the real rough ones. Old Rekkja forced me to learn how to deal with volumes very well and I prety much mastered them, they are very confusing and not super intuitive some most people hate them, but it is my favorite hold type in the game, the goal is to just always grab it from as low as possible so your hands extend out all the way, this way you don't get any downwards momentum when you grab it. Old rekkja took me 16 hours to climb itemless on my first climb and was really brutal compared to anything I did previously, so I was elated to be done, Eljun's Folly is a tough one due to the insanely long pitch sections, you seriously get no breaks with them for the entire last 60% of the mountain, like literally 0, and I was forced to use a little cheap trick that lets you refill stamina by running out of stamina and then grabbing a hold as you are falling, for some reason this just regens all your stamina idk why, but yeah it took around 6 hours to climb this one itemless first time, tricky one. And for those who don't know what itemless means it also includes not using crampons, which makes the biggest difference compared to the other items, some of the things clearly were not designed for it but it's still doable anyways so I think that pretty cool.
