Visit the Natural Pools at Barra da Lagoa beach on this off-season beach tour and also visit Prainha beach. To get to the Natural Pools, take the blue pedestrian bridge that crosses the Barra canal and simply follow the signs to the entrance of the Natural Pools Trail. The trail is approximately 1 km long. You can walk in flip-flops or sneakers (the latter are more advisable for a safer walk, and you can carry a pair of flip-flops in your backpack). Don't forget to bring water and sunscreen. Located in the east of the island, between the neighborhoods of Rio Vermelho and Lagoa da Conceição, it is 23 km from downtown Florianópolis and 26.1 km from Canasvieiras. The main access is via SC 406. North of Barra da Lagoa is Moçambique Beach, the largest beach in Florianópolis. In Barra da Lagoa is Projeto Tamar – responsible for the preservation and protection of sea turtles; guided tours are available.
