Favourite Looping Technique in Ableton Live

One technique I really enjoy using when creating music, is to use unsynced loops. This technique dates all the way back to 1940s with the work of Pierre Schaeffer, and later Steve Reich, Terry Riley and Karlheinz Stockhausen. Who used tape loops to create phase patterns, rhythms, textures, and timbres. The same technique is highly transferable to digital. And works great in Ableton Live.
