This video provides an overview of how to insert the LMA™ Fastrach™ Airway System. The System is designed to facilitate difficult airway situations in Can’t Intubate, Can’t Ventilate (CICV) scenarios. The LMA™ Fastrach™ Airway System is comprised of three single-use compatible components: the Mask, Endotracheal Tube, and Stabilizer Rod. This material is not intended to replace standard clinical education and training by Teleflex Incorporated and should be utilized as an adjunct to more detailed information which is available about the proper use of the product. INDICATIONS FOR USE: The LMA™ Fastrach™ Single-Use Airway System is indicated for use as a guide for intubation of the trachea. It is also indicated for achieving and maintaining control of the patient’s airway during routine and emergency situations. This device is also indicated as a method of establishing an airway in the profoundly unconscious patient with absent glossopharyngeal and laryngeal reflexes. The LMA™ Fastrach™ Single-Use Endotracheal Tube is indicated for tracheal intubation through the LMA™ Fastrach™ Mask. The Stabilizer Rod is indicated for use during removal of the LMA™ Fastrach™ Airway System and the LMA™ Fastrach™ Single-Use Airway System after intubation to keep the LMA™ Fastrach™ Single-Use Endotracheal Tube in place.
