Travel back in time with us to join Steve 'Starlo' Starling, his wife Jo Starling and The Fishing DVD crew on the upper, outback reaches of the vast Fitzroy River system in central Queensland, west of Rockhampton as they chase sooty grunter and other prizes from their canoes and float tubes or "belly boats". "The Fishing DVD" (later changing its name to Fishing Downunder) was a much-loved quarterly video magazine that appeared for many years during the early 2000s and became a firm favourite with lots of Aussie anglers, as well as numerous overseas fans. Produced by the dynamic duo of John & Peta Haenke, this DVD series represents a priceless archive of angling action from right around the country and beyond... and now we're delighted to share some of it with a whole new generation of fishers! These days, the Haenkes are semi-retired and living in Bowen, north Queensland, but still very active in fishing (especially John's passion of fly fishing).
