3 minutos de respiración (meditación mindfulness)

This meditation is suitable for beginners or experienced mindfulness practitioners. The three-minute breath meditation is a brief mental journey that seeks to provide a direct experience of the sensations—particularly those of emotional discomfort—that we face in moments of stress or tension. It can also be practiced when we are calm. Its main purpose is to be present in the moment with whatever is happening. It is recommended to practice it several times a day. The meditation follows the guidelines of the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program. María Tenorio is a practitioner of MBSR and MSC (Mindful Self-Compassion). She has received MBSR training from the University of Massachusetts, where she completed the MBSR Basic Course and the MBSR Fundamentals Course, as part of her training to become an instructor in this discipline. She has also completed the MSC Basic Course with the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. She leads meditations at her workplace, the Higher School of Economics and Business, as well as for her friends. This audio is a contribution for people who are in quarantine during the coronavirus pandemic. El Salvador, Central America, 2020.
