Today was the day to explore one of the most important places in Brazilian history! We visited the National Museum, in Quinta da Boa Vista, which has reopened part of its exhibitions and is celebrating 208 years of history. During the tour, we showed the giant dinosaur right at the entrance, the new exhibitions, the exciting reconstruction of the museum after the fire, the behind-the-scenes of science, the Hall of Beams, sculptures under restoration, and interesting facts we learned during the visit. We also strolled through the gardens of Quinta da Boa Vista, saw the lake, the House of Apollo, the grotto, the Quinta Pagoda, and showed a bit of the June festival that used to take place in the park. And at the end, we also showed the entrance to the BioParque do Rio, which will be the subject of a future video! 📍 National Museum – Boa Vista Farm 📍 São Cristóvão – Rio de Janeiro 📍 Important information for visiting the National Museum: • The exhibition season runs until August 30, 2026, featuring the exhibitions "Behind the Scenes of Science" and "Aftermath of Memories." • 🕘 Exhibitions are open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with last entry at 3:30 PM. • 🎟️ Admission is free. On visiting days, it is recommended to reserve tickets through Sympla, but if tickets sell out, it's still worth trying to enter directly at the ticket office, as not everyone who reserves shows up. • ⏰ To increase your chances of entering without a reservation, arrive early in the opening hours or try until around 3:00 PM. • 📅 The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday. 💬 Had you visited the National Museum before?
