Tubular Belle? Rega's Pretty Brio MK7 is a Solid State Integrated That Sounds Like a Valve Amp!

The latest in a long line of super-capable budget amplifiers has just been released by Rega. Like its predecessors, it has a warm and romantic sound that's far closer to valve amplifiers than you'd think possible from solid-state. Mike and David agree that its smooth, musical character invests everything with a sugary sweetness. It's less tonally neutral than both the Fell Audio Fell Amp and the Rotel A8 that the guys have recently tested, but they reckon it could just be what many people want from a product such as this.
