For our Premier episode, we are going to go behind two duets that involve one of the greatest singer songwriters of the rock era and someone i”m honored to call a friend. the soundtrack king and mr. Footloose himself Kenny Loggins. Kenny will drop the needle and take us behind his duet with the superhuman Steve Perry on Don’t Fight it which went to #17 on the hot 100 and #4 on the Rock charts in 1982. This song should be more celebrated than it is. You have two of the greatest voices together, going toe to toe and it’s a contest for the ages. I remember when I heard this as a kid, my two favorites together, It blew me away. This is one to go back to for sure. Also Kenny will be telling us about a the song Heart to Heart which he wrote and recorded from the needle drop with Michael McDonald and David Foster and went to #15 on the Hot 100. Now Heart to Heart Is not technically a duet , as it features Michael McDonald on background vocals but it has become a duet in recent years, when they perform it live and it’s awesome. Both of these songs are from the same album High Adventure and was a key album of my childhood and maybe yours as well, Let’s get into it: Thank you for watching. Leave us a comment about these songs below, give us your thoughts on Kenny Loggins, Steve Perry and Michael McDonald what other duets should we celebrate in the future?
