The NBA's Forgotten European "What If" | FPP

Dino Radja is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, yet you rarely hear about him because most of his success came in Europe. Radja was a superstar in Europe beginning in the late 80s, teaming with Toni Kukoc on Jugoplastika as well as Drazen Petrovic and Vlade Divac on the Yugoslavian National Team. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1989 NBA draft, but contract issues prevented him from joining the team until 1993, just one year after helping Croatia to a Silver Medal in the 1992 Summer Olympics, losing to the US Dream Team in the FInal. But Dino Radja's NBA career just didn't go as planned. He showed a lot of talent and promise over his first 4 seasons until a knee injury abruptly ended his NBA career. But Radja kept dominating in Europe and unsurprisingly became a memory of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
