Cramond - Edinburgh - Scotland | 4K | DJI Mini 3 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro

Cramond is a little village in the suburbs of Edinburgh, on the banks of the Firth of Forth. It has an ancient history dating back over 10,000 years. In the mesolithic, it was a settlement of hunter-gatherers; later it became an important Roman defensive encampment, and in medieval times, a parish church was erected at the same place as the Romans' fort. Today, it is a very charming harbour village with the 17th-century Cramond Kirk, lovely little restaurants and pubs and a beautiful beach. Just opposite the beach, there is a famous Cramond Island, accessible during low tide via the causeway. The island was an important part of the Firth of Forth defence line and was heavily fortified with many concrete forts still being in quite a good shape. Thanks to the vicinity of Edinburgh, Cramond is quite a popular spot for walks and cycling, and in nice weather, for swimming in the waters of the Firth of Forth. Every year, Cramond Island hosts (or is claimed by) the DIY punk festival, Cramond: Island of Punk, which starts when the high tide covers the causeway and you can't leave the island until the festival is finished, no matter how bad the music can be🤣, because you need to wait for the low tide to reveal the way back.
