Today, the Archdiocese for the Military Services honors Fr. Vincent Capodanno, a U.S. Navy chaplain killed 52 years ago today while ministering to Marines in the Vietnam War. Jason Calvi reports the Church is also in the process of considering the American priest for possible sainthood.
