Napoleon Coste - Andante et Polonaise Op. 44 - Jacek Świtacz

This masterpiece of guitar music, unjustly so rarely played, can be safely placed alongside Chopin's Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise E-flat major as crowning examples of the pure, romantic style brillante. I am constantly amazed at how very "Polish" this piece is in its character, after all, written by a native Frenchman. Chapeaux bas Monsieur Coste! Merci beaucoup pour ce bijou musical. I would like to express my deep gratitude to the great guitarist and musician - JERZY KOENIG, creator of phenomenal transcriptions of F. Chopin's works (including groundbreaking arrangements of his two concertos and other pieces with orchestra available on YT), for the enormous amount of time, work and commitment he put into the production of my recordings and video material. I was truly lucky that he, as my first guitar teacher, introduced me to the world of musical art, and today I have the honor of calling him my friend and mentor. It was his performances that ignited my love of music in my youth and it was he who encouraged me to return to the artistic path after almost 20 years of teaching.
