And the main such enemy, who spoke of Stalin with hatred until the end of his life, was Leon Trotsky. One of the most famous fathers of the Red Revolution, Trotsky wielded enormous influence and authority in the early years of the USSR, yet he spoke extremely harshly about Stalin and his policies, both during his time in the USSR and after his exile from the country.
