Prior to the election to renew the Coahuila Congress, a tense atmosphere was reported due to allegations of a "dirty war," the arrests of members of the Morena and PT parties, and the dissemination of false summonses against PRI members for alleged voter coercion. Although state authorities had not yet issued a statement on these events, it was reported that 10,000 agents from all three levels of government would be deployed to safeguard the election day. At the analysis panel, specialists from the Autonomous University of Coahuila pointed out that the state remains an atypical case, as the PRI maintains a strong electoral presence and could retain its advantage in several districts, while Morena has grown to consolidate itself as the second largest political force, albeit with limited possibilities of winning a significant number of seats. They also emphasized that Coahuila serves as an electoral laboratory due to its citizen participation, its security context, and the importance of strengthening civic education so that voting is not seen merely as a formality, but as a tool for demanding democratic accountability.
