Odisha Rain | Weather News | Rath Yatra 2026 | Puri Rain News |Odia News Heavy rainfall lashed Puri on Wednesday, leading to waterlogging across several parts of the city, including the Grand Road (Bada Danda). The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for Puri till Thursday morning and warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely during the Rath Yatra. Devotees are expected to pull the three chariots amid continuous rain. The rainfall is caused by the influence of a low-pressure system over the region. Authorities have also advised people and fishermen to avoid venturing into the sea due to rough conditions.
