Astrologer Steven Forrest Talks Moon Phases in the Birth Chart

In this video I have the privilege to interview my teacher, friend and astrology legend Steven Forrest. Steven Forrest is one of the most pre eminent Evolutionary Astrologers helping to shape the field. Steven has his own astrology school, is the co-founder of the astrology app Lila Astrology and is the author of such book as the Inner Sky, The Changing Sky, Sky Mates and most recently his Air, Earth, Fire and Water series. In this video we discuss the importance of the phase of the moon at the time of birth. The discussion is based on Steven's book The of the Moon where he explores the importance of taking into consideration not just the Moon sign, house and aspects but also the phase the moon was in at the time of birth. To determine the phase the moon was in when you were born you can use astrology software such as Solar Fire or Astro Gold to tell you or alternatively, you can determine it yourself by looking at the number of degrees away from the Sun your Moon is. For example, if your Sun is at 5 degrees of Gemini and your Moon is at 2 degrees of Sagittarius you would count in 30 degree intervals through the signs until you get to Sagittarius and you would see this person's Moon is 177 degrees from their Sun making her a Waxing Gibbous the "Helper" archetype: New Moon Phase: 0-45 degrees Waxing Crescent Phase: 45-90 degrees First Quarter Phase: 90-135 degrees Waxing Gibbous Phase: 135-180 degrees Full Moon Phase: 180-225 degrees Waning Gibbous Phase: 225-270 degrees Last Quarter Phase: 270-315 degrees Waning Crescent Phase: 315-360 degrees To learn more about Moon Phases in the birth chart and in lunar progression astrology check out Steven's Book: The Book of the Moon: https://www.forrestastrology.com/prod...
