Growing up in a broken home made it hard for April to leave a toxic relationship, because all she wanted was to keep hers together. Outgrowing your hurtful past takes the strength to know when to move on, no matter how hard it may be. Being single income can be a huge challenge for women, but when you have the support of friends and family, it makes all the difference. Do the inner work, she says, and find out who you are and what you like to do most. When overcoming depression, April used natural forms of therapy like growing her vegetable garden and praying to God and Jesus. Her advice for women on a pension who can’t afford to hire contractors for home renovations?
