If you're lucky, you'll encounter purple edelweiss flowers, and it's said that you might even spot deer with thick coats. Reportedly, "Purple edelweiss can be found between the Yellow Grass Sabana (post) and Sunset Camp. This is rarely found on other routes." The Tambak Trail has five climbing posts. The distance from base camp to the summit is approximately 9 km, with an estimated normal travel time of around 10 hours. The latest information is that a water source is being built/prepared for climbers in the form of a reservoir at Post 4. The distance from Base Camp to Post 1 is approximately 1.5 km, or if you prefer, you can take a motorcycle taxi for 30,000 Rupiah. Climbing registration is 20,000 Rupiah per person, excluding the duration of the climb. Registration is still manual on-site (on-site).
