1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz ''On Air Suspension'' 390CI V8 (super Detailed Look)
After the dazzling excesses reached their flamboyant apex with the outlandish fins of the 1959 Cadillac line, the 1960 Cadillacs were introduced with a cleaner, yet still striking design. Though the iconic tail fins were only about an inch shorter than the peak height of the previous year, they used a more subtle bladed tail-lamp design that blended into the trailing edge of the fin, as opposed to the previously utilized twin “bullets” that protruded from the sides. Other design upgrades included a revised full-width grille and the elimination of the pointed bumper guards seen before. These revisions, as well as the rest of the styling updates, made for a cleaner design that, while restrained compared to what had come before, was still very much “the life of the party.” The Eldorado was the top-level passenger-car series and was divided into three subseries: the Eldorado Seville two-door hardtop, the Eldorado Brougham and the Eldorado Biarritz convertible. These machines featured bright lower body-sill trim that extended into the fender skirts, specific Eldorado badging and an upgraded level of standard equipment, including remote-control trunk lock, six-way power bench front seat, radio with antenna and rear speaker, air suspension and power door locks, among other exclusive features. This beautifully restored 1960 Eldorado Biarritz Convertible is an exquisite example of this rare breed of automobile. It is one of just 1,285 produced that year and features the 390/345 HP Cadillac V-8 with tri-power induction, Hydra-Matic transmission, power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, power windows and vent windows, power antenna, Autronic Eye (automatic headlamp high-beam dimmer), cruise control and clock. ~-~~-~~~-~~-~ Please watch: "1958 Buick Limited Riviera Coupe (Turqoise) 364cu Nailhead V8, Fully Equipped + Air suspension" • 1958 Buick Limited Riviera Coupe (Turqoise... ~-~~-~~~-~~-~
