On the occasion of his official visit to Germany and Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, will join the Hertie School to discuss his view of Europe as a global actor. The year 2024 will mark a decisive moment in EU history. With elections in the European Parliament, around 400 million Europeans will have an important say about the future of the EU. Moreover, democracy will be tested around the globe when some two billion people from Washington to New Delhi will elect their new heads of state and government.
