UGREEN NAS DXP4800 Pro als Proxmox Backup Server – perfektes PBS-System?

In this video, I show you how I use the UGREEN DXP4800 Pro as a native Proxmox Backup Server. Instead of using the NAS only in the classic way with UGREEN OS, I use the powerful hardware this time for a special HomeLab setup with Proxmox Backup Server, ZFS, NVMe storage, HDD archive storage, namespaces, and sync jobs. The openness and versatility of the UGREEN hardware make this setup so interesting. UGREEN OS already offers many features such as apps, Time Machine backup, media management, and other NAS functions. In this video, however, the focus is deliberately on an alternative advanced use case for everyone who wants to use their NAS as a powerful backup server in a Proxmox environment. I set up a fast NVMe datastore on the UGREEN DXP4800 Pro, use the 10 Gbit network interface for fast backups, and also create an HDD archive datastore with longer retention. I also show how backups can be synchronized between datastores and how even SMB shares can be backed up to the Proxmox Backup Server using a script. This video is especially aimed at HomeLab users, Proxmox users, small IT environments, and everyone looking for a compact, powerful, and flexible backup system.
