Volvo XC60 electric boot struts POTM power operated tailgate mechanism and coding in VIDA

This video I'm re-addressing the issue with my faulty boot that no longer works correctly after replacing the electrically assisted boot open/close power operated tailgate struts. Unfortunately as in my previous video the POTM module in the boot needs re-programming/upgrading to handle this. Previous video -    • Replacing the electric tail lift gas strut...   I now have Volvo VIDA and a compatible DICE (VDASH) or mongoose cable that allows me to use the Volvo programming and dealer software. However there is still an issue, this needs coding by VOLVO to match my VIN, so even with the right tools and hardware it's a software update only available through the dealership network. So my journey getting this to work DIY has come to an end. What should I do? Go to a Volvo dealership or replace with manual hydraulic struts and remove the automatic lift/close function (Which as never worked!), let me know in the comments.
