Lexa & Costia | It's been a long year [AU-ish]

+++WATCH IN HD ON SMALL SCREEN+++ Hello again, yeah I have made another video. Youtube suggested to me some Lexa videos and so I also found videos about her and Costia. But most of them left me unsatisifed. Costia was very often portrayed as a soft and naive girl. I, on the other hand, had a completely different idea about her. Well, technically we do not know anything about her, except that she was with Lexa and the Ice Nation killed her after capturing and torturing her. Still when I think of Costia, I think of a strong and witty woman. A born grounder who fights when a fight is demanded and who lives by the rules which have been established for nearly a century now. _________________________________________________________________ Story (or kind of): Costia is the girlfriend of Lexa, the Commander of the 11 clans. But she is also a born Azgeda. Soon after Lexas succession, Costia was made a messenger by the Ice Queen. Her job was it to deliver messages send from the Queen to Heda and the other way around. During her times in Polis, she came close to the Commander and started a relationship with her. In the video Lexa remembers her last days with Costia. She had just returned to Polis and met Lexa in her private chambers, where she also stayed during her visit. The relationship was an open secret to everyone close to Lexa. But Costia could never stay long or the Ice Queen would have found out that her loyalties have shifted. So Lexa send her home. Missing her already. But Queen Nia already knew of the affair and she was keen to finally find out what Lexas secrets and weaknesses are. Costia is not willing to talk, so they torture and kill her in the end, using the messenger as a message to Lexa that no one she will ever love is save from the Ice Queen. When things with Clarke get more serious, Titus reminds Lexa of Costias fate. She tells him she can clearly seperate feelings and duty, but the truth is she can't as she is still haunted by Costia's death. Lexa remembers Costia's burial and how she sees her around every corner. When the Azgeda queen demands a duell, she sees her time for vengenance. After the Queens death, Lexa remembers how she first truly met Costia. Fighting against another grounder for money and despite the rules not killing the woman, because she only kills to survive and not for fun. When Lexa dies, she sees Costia who does not want her to die so young.
