This time, I was invited to the home of a friend who is a tomato farmer on Awaji Island, and enjoyed a road trip around Awaji Island. It was a day packed with popular spots, gourmet food, hot springs, and even a farming experience. First, we visited Bakery Misaki, a popular bakery located within the Kariko Resort on Awaji Island. We enjoyed freshly baked bread right when it opened at 9:30 AM, while admiring the spectacular view – a truly luxurious experience. The weather was perfect, making it the best season for a trip to Awaji Island. Afterward, having enjoyed so much bread that I couldn't eat lunch, we headed to Verde Tenero, a gelato shop I'd been curious about. We savored their gelato, a popular Awaji Island sweet, and it's become one of my favorite shops that I want to visit again. Furthermore, before heading to my friend's house, we refreshed ourselves at Sanyu-kan, a hot spring I always use. It's a perfect relaxing spot during a drive or road trip around Awaji Island. Afterward, we met up with ManaP and others and went to our friend's house. Since it had been a while since we'd seen each other, the fun party continued late into the night. The next morning, it happened to be the day of a festival, so we went to take a quick look around. Then, for the main event of the trip, we visited the greenhouse of Mr. Deguchi, a popular tomato farmer on Awaji Island. We had the opportunity to harvest freshly picked tomatoes and papayas.
