This talk will examine the relationship between economic growth, inequality, and public policy in contemporary India. Prof. Ghosh will reflect on the structural challenges facing the Indian economy and the role of policy in shaping more inclusive and sustainable development. The conversation will also reflect on broader questions of public policy in the contemporary era. The event will additionally mark the launch of the MA Public Policy programme at BMU School of Liberal Studies, introducing the philosophy and vision behind the programme.
