Making Boomerangs the Mudburra-Jingili Way
Old men of the Mudburra and Jingili tribes make boomerangs in the traditional way. Shot around Elliott, NT in 1988 and edited on-site with a crew of young men, this short documentary discusses tree selection, shaping styles and finishing techniques. We also see the boomerangs in use making music at the Kudjika. Made by the Kulumindini Video Crew.
