Sydney commuter chaos after power cable falls onto train | ABC NEWS

Sydney's train network is in meltdown with a power incident throwing the evening peak into chaos. Up to 300 passengers have been escorted off a train in Sydney's west after a "life-threatening" power cable came down on top of carriages. Commuters from three other trains also had to be evacuated after power was isolated to part of the network so the cable could be made safe. Train services on most lines running between Sydney's Central Station and Lidcombe have been halted, with only the southern T4 line running normally.
