¡Zapatero intenta escapar! ¿A prisión por riesgo de fuga?

The historic indictment of former Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero marks an unprecedented turning point in Spain's democratic history. For the first time, a former head of government is formally under investigation in a legal case of enormous gravity. Faced with this situation, the government propaganda machine, known as the Moncloa factory, has attempted to discredit the investigation, labeling it "a mere hoax stemming from a lawsuit filed by the Manos Limpias association." However, the chronology of events completely dismantles this crude official version: police searches and judicial inquiries began more than a year and a half before the filing of said lawsuit in December 2015, demonstrating that the Justice system was already independently tracking the scheme. Faced with the overwhelming evidence contained in the case file, Zapatero has appeared publicly to denounce the reports as gross falsehoods, denying having made any dealings with public officials to benefit the bailed-out airline Plus Ultra. However, the court order, which exceeds eighty pages, blatantly contradicts the defense strategy of the former Socialist leader. The document describes a complex corporate network comprised of up to thirty-nine companies with international branches in seven countries, including well-known tax havens, allegedly designed to channel money flows opaquely. Among the financial mechanisms identified by the judicial investigation are companies such as Thinking Heads Americas, which registered transfers of 31,000 euros, and Thinking Heads Group, with transactions amounting to 649,000 euros, in addition to the prominent role of the firm Inteligencia Prospectiva. However, one of the most worrying findings is the connection with the so-called Gate Center, identified by the investigation as Zapatero's Chinese lobby.
