It is bigger, but is it better? What about a pair of Sonos Play?

If you are contemplating your first Sonos speaker, the choice used to be simple. Get the Play:1s, or the Ones, or Era 100 or Era 100SL. But now, the choice is not so clear because the Play (portable bluetooth speaker) that sits between the Roam and the Move actually sounds quite good. But well, they still can't be used as surrounds in a home theater setup and they can't be paired to a sub.
