Between 23BC to 68AD, the first dynasty of Roman Emperors, the Julio-Claudians reigned in Rome, and established what we know as the Romans Empire from the ashes of the old republic. These are some fascinating characters, from the great Augustus, to the cripple, but very competent Claudius, all the way to villains such as Caligula and Nero.
