IJN Nachi - Quiet Life Ending in Utter Destruction

The Myoko-class cruisers are a fascinating group. Each of those four ships has a very distinct service life of her own. None of them are quite the same, especially when it came to their wartime service. But, of the four, Nachi comes the closest. Her career shares aspects with all of the other three. From missing battles, to fighting battles, to her unfortunate end. If her sisters did something, even odds are Nachi did it too. With her own unique twist, of course. Yet, this is a ship that's probably best remembered- if at all -for her...explosive demise. After all, it's up there with Mikuma for 'most famous Japanese cruiser photos'. With good reason.
