It has been an exciting time for 3D printing in dentistry, but we have all been waiting for the "proverbial holy grail" of printing - directly printing clear aligners. Traditional clear aligners need to be manufactured by printing sequential models of tooth movements, then vacuum forming template over each model. While this process is predictable and produces a high quality aligner, it is costly and time consuming. Enter directly printing aligners... wow!
