Slavo Rican Assembly - Zrejlo je žito (Slovenian traditional, arr. by: Jan Kus)

Here is a particularly epic, CASTLE rendition of our crowd favorite - the Caribbeanized version of a Slovenian harvesting song, entitled Zrejlo je žito ("The grain is ready"), the lyrics of which simultaneously intertwine images of crops and the harvesting season, with a love story narrative. Last Summer, we had the enormous privilege to collaborate with the fantastic Slovenian director Nina Kovačič and her incredible film crew for this special live performance video, which we shot at the backdrop of the magical 13th (yes!) century castle, Grad Rihemberk in Branik, Slovenia.
