This Man Has Comforted Over 1,200 Newborns

Over the last 12 years, David Deutchman has held and soothed over 1,200 babies at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital. He’s a “baby buddy,” a person who spends time comforting babies who are delivered prematurely or who may require special medical attention. Nicknamed “the baby whisperer” by nurses, David’s nurturing support has become a godsend for parents while they are away at work or caring for children at home.
