America 250: Chautauqua County's Story
As America approaches its 250th birthday in 2026, communities across the nation are reflecting on the people, places, and events that shaped our shared history. Produced by Chautauqua County Government in partnership with the Chautauqua County Historian's Office, America 250: Chautauqua County's Story highlights remarkable moments from our local past—from early settlement and transportation to innovation and civic participation. Through the voices of local students, County Executive PJ Wendel, and County Historian Norman Carlson, this Flag Day project reminds us that history is not just something we inherit—it is something we help create.
