Some people say it’s just a re-release of the Lumix LX100 line, or of the Leica D-Lux 8, but I don’t think that’s true. I also want to get some other thoughts off my chest, many people don’t understand who is camera is for. In our little camera nerd bubble we love to focus on the tiniest details in the spec sheet, but the real competition isn't between the Fujifilm X100VI, Lumix L10, Ricoh GR IV, Leica Q3, and Sony RX1R iii. It's between these cameras and the smartphone you already own. In this long-term review, I talk about why a zoom lens actually makes the L10 a better everyday travel camera (at least for me) than a fixed prime like the Ricoh GR IIIx or Leica Q series, and why this camera might not be for you, or fit many photographers out there. But for me, it’s my new favorite compact street photography camera.
