After 8 years as a junior high school Japanese language teacher, she became a haiku poet. In addition to her creative work, she is active in a wide range of fields, including haiku classes ("Haiku Gathering Live") and involvement in the founding of the "Haiku Koshien" competition. She is also active on television and radio, including appearances on the haiku segment of the TBS program "Prebat!!".
