1989 Topps Batman Part 2: Will These Grade? Keaton, Joker & Series 2 Tease

Part 2 of my 1989 Topps Batman Series 1 box opening is here! Today on Go Big Collectibles, I’m opening 12 more vintage wax packs from the classic 1989 Topps Batman movie card set and continuing the hunt for clean Michael Keaton Batman, Jack Nicholson Joker, Jack Napier, Vicki Vale, Batmobile, Batwing, and Gotham City cards that might actually be worth grading. These 1989 Topps Batman cards are loaded with Tim Burton Batman nostalgia, but vintage wax is never easy. In this rip, I’m looking closely at gum damage, sticker damage, wax cards, surface dimples, bends, centering, corners, and the condition problems that can make PSA or CGC grading tough on old non-sports trading cards. I also show off my 1989 Topps Batman Series 2 box and open one preview pack so you can see the difference between Series 1 and Series 2. The yellow-background Series 2 cards look awesome, and I’ll be ripping that box in a future video. With Batman interest building again around The Batman Part II, Clayface, DC Comics, and the ongoing love for Michael Keaton’s 1989 Batman movie, this felt like the perfect time to go back to one of the most nostalgic vintage movie card sets from the late 1980s.
