The Leica M2 Humbled Me (Missed Shots & Light Leaks)

Leica M2, 21mm, XP2 | 35mm Film Photography Field Test in Manchester & Folkestone This isn’t a Leica review — it’s more of a raw field test with the Leica M2, the beautifully wide 21mm Super Angulon, and Ilford XP2 35mm black and white film. Nothing serious, just some quick frames in between takes while I was on a film set in Manchester, UK. The second half takes place in Folkestone, where I visited the site of an upcoming music festival called Hike to The Mic. Things didn’t go entirely to plan though — a bunch of the frames were hit by light leaks that wrecked some of the shots. I’m still unsure where they came from. Faulty back? Bad loading?
