In many ways, it's similar to the interior of an aircraft flying at high altitude. It's a place of fragile coexistence, a space isolated, cut off, and sealed from the world. Once takeoff, the cabin becomes a temporary micro-society. It's a small group of people who share a common destination and ultimately share a common fate. In every society, there are optimists, cynical people, and painfully rational people. Our reliance on authority and compliance with hierarchy reflect the reality in which passengers entrust their lives to those in the cockpit. Generational conflict, political polarization, optimism, insecurity, and confirmation bias stemming from prejudice are factors that fragment our shared reality. Through this film, I wanted to project these social fractures into the confined space of an airplane, and quietly ask: What is right and what is wrong? And perhaps, I wanted to show that our inner turmoil is no different from the turmoil outside the window. The world we live in is filled with misinformation, division, bias, and broken connections. Through this film, I wanted to project those fractures onto the confined space of an airplane, to ask quietly: What is right, and what is wrong? And perhaps, to reveal that the turbulence within us is no different from the one outside the window.
