MOVIMIENTO QUE CUIDA: INNOVACIÓN EDUCATIVA Y COMUNITARIA EN EL ABORDAJE DEL DOLOR CRÓNICO

MOVEMENT THAT CARES: EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY INNOVATION IN ADDRESSING CHRONIC PAIN The University of Valladolid is collaborating with Sacyl (the regional health service) and the Active Pain Management Strategies Unit on an innovative educational and community initiative that connects nursing students with the realities of people living with chronic pain. Through direct contact with patients and peer groups, future professionals learn from experience, integrating theory with real-world practice, empathy, communication, and the biopsychosocial approach to care. The project promotes more humane, community-based, and person-centered care, where patients, professionals, and students learn together through movement, mutual support, and active participation.
