Alesund and Trollstigen: A Norwegian Adventure

Discover the stunning beauty of Ålesund and Trollstigen, two of Norway's most iconic destinations. Then, embark on a scenic drive along the famous Trollstigen road, winding through the mountains with breathtaking views. Highlights: Ålesund: Explore the historic city center, visit the Ålesund Aquarium, and hike up Mount Aksla for panoramic views. Trollstigen: Drive along the famous Trollstigen road, with its hairpin bends and stunning scenery. We will explore the Norwegian island city of Alesund and the surrounding area. We will climb Mount Aksla, visit the Waldehuset, or Miracle House, admire the art nouveau architecture, and navigate the port. We'll then take you to the highlights east of the city to drive the Trollstigen, wonder at the Trollveggan, see the roaring Gudbrandsjuvet Gorge, and taste strawberries as we drive through the Valldalan Valley. On our way, we'll stop at the Skjode Bru to see the longest rock bridge in Europe that was threatened by German occupation during WWII and were fortunate to meet up with the landowner who shared his history. In part 2 of this video, we'll go the the islands west of Alesund and to an old German fort used during the occupation of Norway during WWII.
