Bon Apeti! #haitianfood #labouyi #cornmeal #porridge Ingredients: 3 Cups of Water (Use 2 cups, bring to a boil and 1 cup to mix corn meal with) 1 Cup Fine Yellow Corn Meal (I use the Madame Gougousse brand) 4 Cinnamon Sticks 5 Anise Star 1 Can Carnation/Evaporated Milk (If you want it on less thick, use 1.5 Cups of Milk) 1 TSP Lime Zest 1/2 TSP Nutmeg 1/2 TBSP Almond Extract 1/2 TBSP Vanilla Extract 1/4 Cup of Sugar (You can add more or less depending on your preference) 1 TBSP Butter 2 Pinch of Salt Keep stove on medium heat while cooking This makes enough for 2-3 people!
