BFS Bass Fishing Perfection - Dobyns Sierra 700C Rod + JDM Shimano SLX BFS Reel Review #bfsfishing

Today I showcase and review the Dobyns Sierra BFS SUF 700C rod and Shimano SLX BFS reel. I want to note off the rip, that when referring to the reels “braking system” I was referring to the external knob for braking settings. Higher end shimano reels definitely have much more refined and tuned braking systems. That being said, I feel that this reel is EXCEPTIONAL when it comes to value and practicality. For “BFS Bass Fishing”, I view the lures to be in the spectrum where conventional bass gear is just too heavy. This setup is perfect because it has just enough backbone to get a big bass in the boat. This is not your setup if you are looking for a truly ultralight system throwing lures under 3 grams, I suggest a more specialized reel that may possibly need some customization on your end. But for the typical American bass angler used to baitcasters, this setup is perfect to open the door to BFS fishing. Thanks for watching!
