After a year of dealing with a 30-year-old washer and dryer that used excessive water and barely dried clothes, we finally decided it was time for an upgrade! In this video, we remove the original marine washer and dryer from our liveaboard boat and install a new Splendide stackable washer and dryer. What seemed like a simple project quickly turned into a classic boat project—hidden rust, mountains of lint, rotted flooring, electrical updates, cabinetry modifications, and a complete dryer vent rebuild. Join us as we: ✔ Remove a 30-year-old washer and dryer ✔ Clean years of lint and debris from behind the appliances ✔ Repair water-damaged flooring with epoxy ✔ Upgrade from 220V to 110V operation ✔ Rebuild the dryer vent system ✔ Prepare our liveaboard boat for more comfortable cruising The new washer and dryer can run on our inverter system, making laundry much easier while cruising and reducing generator use. But as every boat owner knows, no boat project is ever as easy as it sounds!
