How I RUINED My Golf Cart with Air Ride

This is the beginning of something I’m not even sure will work. There are no true air ride shock kits made specifically for golf carts… so this entire build is a real-world test and learn. No blueprint. No guarantees. Just fabrication, problem-solving, and seeing what happens. In this first episode, I attempt to install air shocks on my golf cart to see if adjustable ride height is even possible. Here’s what we found: • The front setup actually worked. • The rear? Not so much. • Custom modifications were needed — including a homemade scissor-style shackle to create lift and drop. • Figuring out correct air pressure was trial and error. • My garage compressor wasn’t up to the task. • And yes… things started getting complicated. This build introduces new challenges I didn’t expect — steering issues, drop limitations, and even electrical problems that may have been triggered by the suspension changes. It’s slow. It’s messy. There are wins. There are failures. But that’s what makes it fun. If you enjoy real DIY experiments, learning through mistakes, and watching someone push a project further than they probably should… this series is for you. More chaos (and hopefully success) coming in the next episodes. Subscribe and follow along as we see whether air ride on a golf cart is genius… or a BIG mistake. #GolfCart #GolfCartBuild #AirRide #bagged #AirSuspension #SuspensionBuild #CustomGolfCart #DIYProject #CustomSuspension #Fabrication #LiftedGolfCart #ModifiedCart #OffRoadCart #GolfCartLife #CartLife #BuildSeries #DIYGarage #ShopLife #CustomFabrication #TrialAndError #TestAndLearn #GarageBuild #MechanicalProblems #DidItWork #BigMistake #Ruined
