November 11th is Pepero Day in Korea 🇰🇷 It’s a sweet tradition where people exchange chocolate stick cookies to celebrate love and friendship. The date 11/11 looks like four Pepero sticks — that’s how it started! Let’s make our own cute homemade Pepero together 🍫💝 🍫 6 Things You Should Never Do When Making Pepero Don’t melt chocolate pens in boiling water! → If it gets too hot, the chocolate becomes too runny and won’t stick the arms and legs properly. Never let water touch your coating chocolate! (Even steam!) → A single drop of water can make your chocolate seize and turn blotchy and white. Don’t overheat the coating chocolate either! → It can separate into an oily layer or get dull and crumbly. ✅ Melt it in a 60–70 °C water bath, then use it when it cools to around 30–40 °C (lukewarm). Don’t skip tapping off excess chocolate! → If you leave too much on, it’ll harden unevenly and drip around the back or sides. Never refrigerate or freeze after coating! → The inside (like the cherry candy cone) shrinks and cracks the chocolate surface.
