THE BONANZA MAP/ THE PONDEROSA

I watched Bonanza when it originally aired on NBC back in the ‘60s. I was always drawn to the map. The playful way it displayed an area I wanted to visit. Bonanza gets then gets cancelled in 1973. Years later in the ‘80s I’m working off and on in South Lake Tahoe as well as Reno. I was working for a show that played the hotels frequently but mostly in the summer. Whenever I got the chance I jumped in my car and headed for either Incline Village to visit The Ponderosa Ranch Theme Park or my favorite rock just a bit south of Secret Cove Beach. It was so much fun. After I did my Ponderosa Ranch video and saw the response from YouTube viewers I wanted to give more. What was supposed to be a segment on a slightly longer format update video turned into its own video mainly due to some video source elements I had to get for the longer version. This video is definitely for Bonanza people who want map information. I tried my best to source the information contained in the video. There are not many people around today that worked on the production of the original show so much is anecdotal. I did my best. Enjoy!
