In its early days, it is renowned for releasing music by artists such as Dexedo the Emons, Number Girl, and Scoobie Do, who were highly popular in Japan. Since then, in addition to SpecialThanks, KEYTALK, and Bentham, he has actively discovered and released even more new artists despite the COVID-19 pandemic (http://kogarecords.com). In 2013, with KEYTALK's major debut, he started an artist management division. In 2015, he opened the recording studio STUDIO K5. In 2017, he opened KOGA MILK BAR (now the popular izakaya Kogami Shimokitazawa) in Shimokitazawa, managing a unique establishment that incorporates music into its food and beverage business. Leveraging over 30 years of experience in the independent music label industry, he continues to create and disseminate new music from his base in Shimokitazawa, employing unconventional approaches. His published works include "Shimokita Indies President: An Indie Philosophy That Goes Against the Majors" (September 25, 2021, Rittor Music). He remains active in the bands VENUS PETER and ROCKET K.
